Founding member of EMD, Mr. Keppeler is a senior electrical and software design engineer. Mr. Keppeler specialty is in software design, system architecture, algorithm development along with multi system control and communications development with proprietary CAN communications. Mr. Keppeler also has extensive experience in the design of algorithms for hybrid vehicle control, such as torque application, power generation, and engine control. He has also been a key figure in activities such as software driver design, including functionality, modularity, and operator interface. Mr. Keppeler has been instrumental in designing hybrid propulsion system to chassis interfaces; including electrical, engine control and monitoring via J1939 and other CAN protocols. Mr. Keppeler is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a Master of Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. |
